The temperature then climbs to about 1,950 degrees Fahrenheit because of the friction generated by the rotating pin. As a result, this transforms the metal into a "plastic-paste" state, and the material is bonded under the high pressure.

The metal fabricator says that this process has the benefit of being more efficient than traditional welding techniques, which will ultimately put its customers at an advantage.

The woman said she chose diet soda over regular because of weight loss issues and also admitted that she hadnt seen a dentist in years. The survey reported that she knew that soda and other sugary drinks were associated with tooth decay.

Dr. Bassiouny noted that her teeth were soft and discolored, many destroyed by acid erosion due to the soda. She told him that she usually drank the soda from the can or bottle directly, and let the soda sit in her mouth before swallowing. The massive damage to the left side of her teeth was associated with leaning over to the left side of the couch while watching TV, which resulted in what is known as a collapsed bite.

Unfortunately, none of her teeth that were affected by erosion were salvageable and the woman ended up having to have her teeth removed and be fitted for dentures.

Chlorine, according to experts, do not kill the bacteria instantly, however it is still an important step to fighting the bacteria. The E. coli strains can become inactive as quickly as one minute when exposed to chlorinated water.

The health department provides signs that are designed to deter those who may be a risk of contaminating the water. First on the list, all who have had diarrhea in the last two weeks should avoid swimming in the pools.

"Make sure that their child takes frequent bathroom breaks. Make sure they shower their child before they use the pool," said Pam Thevenow, with the Marion County Health Department. "The goal here is to make sure we don't carry poop, pee, germs or sweat into a pool and make that an unsafe environment."

Pennsylvania grabs a $3.16 billion in revenue from 11 major casinos. That is still a far cry from the $10.86 billion seen moving through Nevada, but is still a respectable second place.

The figures were compiled as part of the AGA's annual State of the States report, which is created to show the general gambling landscape across the nation. It's clear that both the present and future look bright for the U.S. gaming industry, Fahrenkopf says in a conference call.

The nationwide gross gambling revenue is somewhere just above $37.34 billion for 2012. That is the third year in a row that revenue rose, and is also the second largest amount found on record. The numbers are constituted from standalone, riverboat, and racetracks that are licensed by the state. The numbers do not include any Native American establishments or operations.

The NCAA recently released its findings, which stated that the study found a 57% tally for all men reported gambling for money in 2012. That constitutes more than a 9% drop over the last half-decade.

Gambling among men who are currently involved in Division I sports dropped from 58% down to an even 50% for the four years in the study. There were similar drops found in Division II and Division III.

According to the numbers, female numbers stayed consistent at a 39% tally. The numbers were compiled after questioning 23,000 athletes, which is an act held every four years.

"The decrease in the rate of gambling among male student-athletes is encouraging," said Rachel Newman Baker, the NCAA managing director of enforcement. "However, the explosive growth of sports wagering has caused a noticeable increase in the number and severity of sports wagering cases investigated by the NCAA."

While the numbers have dropped, the study also indicates that technology has allowed for easier access to the culture of gambling within the demographics. "The days of the student bookie with paper betting slips is gone," according to NCAA principal researcher Tom Paskus. He worked as the primary author for the entire study. "There are a lot of technology issues that campus administrators and others may not be familiar with. Gambling just looks different today that it did even eight years ago when we first conducted the study."

The numbers did show that of men who placed bets, over a third did so online or over the phone. That is a 7% jump from 2004.

Another worrisome fact for those in the NCAA, is that inside information is more easily attainable, as social media allows for individuals to be in touch with athletes more readily. "It does seem to speak to some cultural issues in that sport that go beyond socio-economic status," Paskus said.

The gambling bill set to be voted on next year could change the entire landscape of how both Florida and nearby states handle gaming laws.

Lawmakers have already outlawed the storefront gambling dens following investigations by the Allied Veterans of the World charity. Over 57 individuals were arrested and the Lieutenant Governor Jennifer Carroll resigned due to the action.

In regards to the Spectrum Gaming group, lawmakers stated they used an open and competitive bidding process for this work, which is refreshing, given its history of no-bid deals, Krassner said. Since this is taxpayer-funded research, the vendor will have high expectations from the public to demonstrate objectivity and independence.

Of the top 50 paid and top 50 free apps on the Android Market, Apple App Store and Google Play, only 34 percent of those apps also show up on on the Windows Phone or Blackberry market. The Windows Phone store contained just 16 of the top 50 free Apple App Store apps and only 14 of the top 50 paid applications. It contained 22 of Google Plays top 50 free applications and 13 of the top 50 paid.

Blackberry had even less. Blackberry World contained only five of the top 50 free Apple apps, nine of the top 50 paid. When compared to Google Play, it had 11 of the top 50 free applications and 11 of the top paid apps.

Vendors have recently released new data figures on the size of their markets. Microsoft announced that the Windows Phone store now contains over 145,000 apps, while BlackBerry revealed that it now has in excess of 120,000 BB10 apps available. By comparison, the Apple App Store and Google Play get the bragging rights with each containing over 800,000 apps.

Right now, what is more important to Microsoft and Blackberry is to focus on bridging the inventory gaps by creating apps that attract users based on quality and location. The study found that Blackberry has started out with some great momentum, being able to release over 50,000 apps in just over three and a half months, including some big name brand apps like Skype and Angry Birds: Star Wars. Microsoft and its partners are ahead in terms of the number of apps they already offer, as well as the proportion of big brands and leading titles on its platforms.

Creating a better application store for both markets will help create better device sales, which will mean more opportunity for developers to create more high-quality apps and attract more consumer interest and satisfaction around the devices served by the ecosystem.

ATC Principal Joseph Amann says the differences between the new and old technology center is is a stark contrast. As of right now, the old technology center doesnt have the space to give each program its own classroom and work area. With the new ATC, each program has plenty of room and wont have to share it with another classroom.

While none of them are particularly sweet, they all are very acidic and damage the enamel on teeth, causing similar dental problems, said Dr. Mohamed Bassiouny, a professor of restorative dentistry at the Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia.

The acid in soda is in the form of ascorbic and phosphoric acid. Without good dental hygiene, constant exposure can causes erosion of the enamel and significant oral damages in other areas, such as tooth decay. Bassiouny found that a woman in her mid-30s who drank 2 liters of pop daily for three to five years experienced rot and decay on her teeth similar to that of a 51 year-old habitual crack abuser and 19-year-old meth addict, who had used meth for three years, who also drank several liters of coke a day because the meth made his mouth dry.

The woman said she chose diet soda over regular because of weight loss issues and also admitted that she hadnt seen a dentist in years. The survey reported that she knew that soda and other sugary drinks were associated with tooth decay.

Dr. Bassiouny noted that her teeth were soft and discolored, many destroyed by acid erosion due to the soda. She told him that she usually drank the soda from the can or bottle directly, and let the soda sit in her mouth before swallowing. The massive damage to the left side of her teeth was associated with leaning over to the left side of the couch while watching TV, which resulted in what is known as a collapsed bite.

Unfortunately, none of her teeth that were affected by erosion were salvageable and the woman ended up having to have her teeth removed and be fitted for dentures.

When it comes to spirits and drinks, Jack Daniel's holds a rather commanding lead.

The data held by Google goes back quite a ways, but is only being released recently. Data has been noted since 2004, when Labrador Retrievers were apparently more popular than any other breed of dog.

The data has been fully compiled from Google's Knowledge Graph, and ties in keyword searches with standard questions forms.

Google released a statement attempting to explain the process: When you look at a chart of sports teams and you see the Golden State Warriors, those rankings are based on many different related searches, like [gs warriors], [golden state bball] and [warriors basketball]. That way you see which topics are most popular on Google Search, however people search for them.

The experts at Google, including Roni Rabin who works as a software engineer, made sure to note that algorithms are never perfect. He noted that anomalies can occur on the charts sometimes. Problems such as homophones can muck up the overall scores. For example, the 'artist' Pit Bull can bolster search results for canine breed. If only other breeds could get rap 'artists' to take their name.
