(EMAILWIRE.COM, June 14, 2013 ) Phoenix, AZ Honda has announced the recall of 18,000 vehicles in the United States in order to fix a problem with the brake system. According to the vehicle manufacturer some power brake booster systems were not made to suitable specifications.
In time the manufacturing errors could cause a decrease in braking power which would increase the risk of behind involved in a motor vehicle crash. The recall is believed to affect 13,000 Acura RSX compact cars from 2006 and 5,000 Honda S2000 sports cars from 2006 to 2007.
Honda will inspect and replace the brake booster if needed; owners affected by the recall will be notified by mail by in mid-July.
This is the second recall Honda has announced in the past 6 months due to a manufacturing error. In May 2013, 40,000 Honda Fit sports vehicles were recalled due to issues with the electronic stability control system.
Millions of products are sold each day and every month another company recalls their goods due to manufacturing errors that could cause consumers harm. If you or a loved one has been harmed by a defective product the victim may be entitled to compensation for medical expenses, pain and suffering, lost wages, and more.
