(EMAILWIRE.COM, May 13, 2013 ) San Francisco, CA -- According to a local SEO industry survey, the highest in-demand SEO service are on-site SEO, along with Google+ optimization.
The research had been conducted by SEO software company Brightlocal, and was handled between January and February of 2013. The survey focused on local SEO industry information by focusing on areas such as agency size and turnover, marketing and sales, talks and services, industry clients, as well as future outlooks. The majority of respondents were freelancers, smaller agencies or web designers, and totaled over 1,400 in all.
BrightLocal pointed out that the services that were offered by services were likely a response to those services most requested. In other words, the indication a service was most wanted, was its popularity in being listed in services provided by SEO companies or freelancers
Overall responses indicated that client earners ranged anywhere from $100 per month to well over $5,000 per month. Overall, 70% paid under $1,000 per month for services rendered in the SEO sector. Twenty-eight percent of all respondents paid between $500 and $1,000 per month
of service. Just over a third of respondents had a turnover of under $30,000 in the previous 12 months ,while 17% admitted to having $500,000 or more in returns.
Over 80% of all responders said general searchers were the highest in efficiency when it came to various online channels and generating customers for clients. PPC and localized searches were among the top three online channels. Among the least effective noted by respondents
were classified websites, ad displays, and daily deals.
Over 90% of those surveyed noted word-of-mouth being a the most successful tool for gaining clients, as vouching proved to hold highest efficiency in turning interested parties into clients. Under half (46%) gave credit to SEOs for conversion, which was good enough for second place
on the list.
