(EMAILWIRE.COM, March 19, 2013 ) Alamance County, NC A man walking west on Interstate 40/85 was struck and killed by a car recently. Patrol officers found the mans body just off the interstate near NC Highway 62, while the mystery vehicle remains to be found.
A truck driver did see what he thought to be an accident and contacted police immediately. The highway patrol then found the mans body near the vehicle, which was parked on the shoulder of the interstate.
Police suspect that there will be a significant amount of damage to the front end of the vehicle where the man was struck. Unfortunately, investigators are having a difficult time solving this case as they do not have a make, model or description of the vehicle or driver.
