(EMAILWIRE.COM, February 12, 2014 ) Houston, Texas -- Led by Red Cross volunteer and LCSW of the Bergen County Senior Advisory Council and Health Committee Diana Guida Brown, a dozen seniors attended the disaster preparedness program held at Tenafly Senior Center. This program was designed to teach seniors, as well as anyone of any age, about how to prepare for an emergency situation.

One of the focuses of the program is the importance of having an emergency kit always at hand. Emergency kits should contain very important personal paraphernalia as well as necessities in case of isolation or delayed rescue operations.

This object provides temporary lighting which proves to be very functional in times of disaster because it assists in providing visibility, especially at night.
