Company spokeswoman Pamela Davis said "We were quite impressed with this ingenious idea."
The hanger, it turns out, makes a perfect drying rack for woolen socks, according to Ms. Beatrice Rice from Booneville, Missouri.

"I can't tell you how great that is."
Ms. Rice gave the company a phone call after looking up their number at the EZ Scarf website. She wanted to ask some questions about the material the hanger was made of to ensure the socks would not cause a problem if they caused the hanger to get damp.
"We couldn't see any reason the socks would cause any problems with the product" said Ms. Davis, "And we actually decided to run a few tests ourselves and see what happened." The tests resulted in no problems with the hanger, and now the company is considering adding a new section to the product description on their hanger.
Where to hang heavy wool socks to dry was a question the company had not been looking to answer, but according to one Missouri customer, that's exactly what they've done.
As she explained, "There's just no convenient place to hang them after washing in winter, and that's the only time we wear them." In summer, items too delicate for the dryer can go out on the clothesline, but in Missouri in winter, that option is out of the question.
Ms. Davis confirmed that company management was considering the addition of "laundry drying rack" to the product description in light of Ms. Rice's communication.
