Garcinia Cambogia is a plant extract with an active ingredient called hydroxycitric acid (or HCA), which has been proven in many clinical trials to suppress appetite and block the ability of the body to store carbohydrates as fat. Titled "The Dangers of Garcinia Cambogia," the video argues that although taking Garcinia Cambogia is quite safe, that it can be dangerous if taken at the wrong time. It shows a man piloting an old airplane (actually it's Stan Laurel of Laurel and Hardy fame). It shows him trying to take his Garcinia Cambogia pills while in flighthe crashes (don't worry, he lives). The voice over then says "That was not the right time to take Garcinia Cambogia"

Richard Lewis, President of Weight Management Labs, clearly believes there is room in this market for another player. But he admits that simply creating a better product isn't going to be enough. Lewis says, "Our first goal was to create the best value proposition in the business we did that higher quality, more capsules, etc. And we started selling products." But he felt they needed to get more attention in order to compete in this highly competitive space. Lewis continues, "So we decided to use video to get our name out there, and we wanted to have some fun with it."

Initial reviews of the videos are promising. But whether this translates into sales is still unknown. Lewis is philosophical about it. "Yes, of course I want people to click through and give our product a try which is why we're offering a 50% off coupon to those who watch the video; but if people watch and don't make a purchase, I hope they at least enjoy themselves for a minute that's no small accomplishment in today's world, even if it isn't very profitable for our business."

Lewis says this is just their first attempt and that they aren't going to give up. He says that experimentation is the key to success in such a fast changing marketplace.
