(EMAILWIRE.COM, December 23, 2013 ) Beaverton, OR -- Zanshin Marketing, the company that brought Auphonix Pop Filters to the market has revealed that they are on the final stages of creating the newest addition to the line desktop pop filters.

The head of the company, Lee Nolan, talked excitedly about this latest development, of which he had this to say. "We are so thrilled about this new desktop pop filter. There are so many people who have complained that they can't find a pop filter for their USB microphone. Microphones like the Blue Yeti - one of

the most popular USB microphones are hard to attach a pop filter too. Customers with these sorts of desktop microphones need a pop filter that will clamp to a desk easily. So we made one for them!"

Auphonix Pop Filters have received positive reviews from customers in the Amazon marketplace. However, the current pop filter isn't really designed for desktop use and is intended only for clamping onto a microphone stand. And although it is possible to set up the standard filter for use on a desktop the result is far from idea. The purpose-built desktop pop filter resolves these issues.

This latest design is planned to be in production soon and is expected to be out in the market by early 2014. Nolan also said that they will soon be accepting pre-orders on the Auphonix website.

What is a pop filter?

A pop filter is mainly used for eliminating pops from vocals. Popping is the result of saying words that contain plosives, which are consonants that release a blast of air each time they are spoken. A pop filter blocks these bursts of air, resulting in cleaner vocals. Pop filters can also help lengthen the life of a microphone by keeping them free from saliva.
