Auphonix To Produce A New Desktop Pop Filter

(EMAILWIRE.COM, December 12, 2013 ) Beaverton, OR -- Zanshin Marketing, under its Auphonix brand has announced the introduction of its newest product - a new Desktop Pop Filter. Lee Nolan, head of the company, personally confirmed this news. The newest design of their pop filter is made to be clamped on to a desk instead of being attached to a microphone stand.

"I have been asked several times if the Auphonix Pop Filter (http://www.amazon.com/Auphonix-Pop-Filter-Best-Recording/dp/B00CFXH4S6/) can be clamped to a desk. Unfortunately, that particular model wasn't designed for that but is rather made for clamping to a mic stand. The idea to come up with this new design was born out of those inquiries", stated Nolan.

People creating screencast videos and personal recordings are the most likely to benefit from this unique design.

"I realized that the traditional design was not suitable for a sizable proportion of our customers. Recording takes many forms these days, and to assume that our customers are all singers would be a huge mistake. The new design will meet the needs of these customers.", continues Nolan.

"Again, quality here is our main concern. All our products are made with the user in mind and this product is designed for a group of users who have been largely ignored by other pop filter manufacturers"

The latest design of Auphonix Pop Filters will be in production soon and is expected to be available early 2014 in Amazon.

Zanshin Marketing has also announced that they will soon be accepting pre-orders on their Auphonix website.

What is a pop filter?

A pop filter is used to eliminate the bursts of air that comes with speaking words containing Ps, Bs or Ts. Phrases like "Peter Piper" cause all sorts of problems for microphones. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ItoUm5-8ZY8). These consonants, known as plosives, create popping sounds when spoken directly into a microphone. Pop filters are made from nylon or metal mesh and is placed over a circular metal frame. They work by sifting the bursts of air from plosives, giving only clean vocals.
