DC Homewares Announces Its Latest Product: Fork By Prepd

(EMAILWIRE.COM, December 06, 2013 ) Sanford, North Carolina -- DC Homewares announces its next and final product for 2013. David Bay, CEO believes it to be "the perfect gift for you and your friends and family! DC Homewares expects this to be the hottest gift item in 2014 and is happy to be making it available in 2013!"

DC Homewares is releasing a product simply called Fork. Fork is manufactured under the brand name of Prep'd joining e-voke (candles) and glowzone (cosmetics). Given its play on the word "preparation", any product released under Prep'd has to be all about food preparation.

What is so special about Fork and why might you need one?

Forks have been around since the days of the Ancient Greeks and Romans. Before forks became an integral part of table etiquette, they were used primarily for lifting food off the fire or out of a cauldron. They were at that time long lethal looking weapons much more designed for food handling than for individual use. Fork is a return to the past for the very reason that evolution of the modern fork whilst elegant, is non-functional

The Prep'd Fork is attractive enough in a squat sort of a way but its real beauty is not apparent until you use it. " it is simply great to use", says David Bay, from DC Homewares! "Because of its short stocky design and wide spaced tines, you get a grip on the piece of meat you are trying to move, and you can then carve like nothing else available on the market. This added stability is ideal for lifting boiled meats from a large pan, baked meats from the oven, or bbq'd meat from the Weber or BBQ. This is so much safer than conventional methods - once you have used it you will wonder how on earth you managed before." Bay wants to see a fork in every household.

Available for this Christmas. Fork comes complete with access to an e-book that contains some great photos and some unique tasty home created recipes. DC Homewares knows this to be true as they claim to have created and tasted every one of them!

Additionally. DC Homewares has pledged $2 from the sale of every Fork in the US to its Charity Partner, Common Threads. Founded in 2003 by Chef Art Smith and artist Jesus Salgueiro, Common Threads teaches children living in under-served communities how to cook wholesome, healthy meals in professional led, curriculum-based after-school programs and has done so for 10 years.

"Common Threads began out of our love for family and good food, two basic ingredients that link all people of this world together. Family nurtures us, protects us, and connects us to a larger community. Food nourishes us, excites us, and teaches us about the world around us. In 2013, Common Threads is taking bold steps to use the kitchen as a catalyst for change. "We are launching a nationwide effort to get one million kids cooking in the next five years." DC Homewares is proud to support this valuable cause. Fork will join DC Homewares' other products, for sale on Amazon and is expected to be available early December.

Fork comes in a gift box; the donation will be made monthly; and the eBook comes after signing up to their newsletter. "Simple, safe and easy", says DC Homewares which has accomplished a strong beginning in 2013.
