When asked why they believe they can compete against these lower priced products, Doug Noble Vice-president Marketing, stated "We understand that just having higher quality materials is not enough to sway consumers to our higher prices. We research each product market carefully to understand what consumers like and dislike about the current retail products, and then we try to add value to our products by ensuring that the likes area available in our product and that the dislikes are resolved in our product. With our new laundry bag for example, consumers were quite clear that they wanted a durable laundry bag, not only in the material, but also in the stitching. Consumers also wanted a convenient way to carry these larger laundry bags. We then had our carry laundry bag manufactured of stronger material, stronger stitching and we added a shoulder strap for easier portability. Before we launched the product we went through several strength tests to ensure that the desired durability was achieved. When consumers see that you are trying hard to accommodate their requirements, they are often willing to pay more for these qualities. I guess you could say that we compete based on our ability to meet consumer's wish lists".
