(EMAILWIRE.COM, August 07, 2013 ) Columbus, Ohio -- Timothy Ferriss, best-selling author and entrepreneur, first featured EatGreenTea's edible green tea in his recent best selling book, "The Four-Hour Chef."

Now Ferriss has featured the benefits of the organic tea again, this time giving his seal of approval to EatGreenTea by including the company's tea in his Quarterly Co. subscription box.

EatGreenTea, which sells whole and powdered organic tea leaves, was among eight items featured in the box. Quarterly Co. uses well known names to curate boxes

of products which are sent to subscribers every three months.

Ferriss said he first discovered the antioxidant benefits of edible green tea while working on "The Four-Hour Body." EatGreenTea was a sponsor of his book launch party for "The Four-Hour Body" in New York City in December, 2010. Ferriss has included recipes using green tea in his most recent book, "The Four-Hour Chef."

EatGreenTea has 100 times more antioxidants than brewed tea. Green tea contains flavonoids, a potent variety of antioxidants. Most of the antioxidants aren't extracted during the brewing process, and as a result the benefits of green tea are thrown out with the used tea bag. Green tea that is consumed whole or powdered, whether in mashed potatoes or in a morning smoothie.

EatGreenTea lab tested samples from organic green tea farms all over the world in order to find the purest tea leaves available. The company buys its tea from a farm in a small Chinese province, where the leaves are hand-picked to preserve quality. The tea is sold through EatGreenTea.com in powdered and whole leaf form, and is also available on Amazon.
