The survey questioned one thousand women in the London area and the results
of the study were published last week in Britains Daily Mail.The study also revealed that forty-three percent of the women admit it is dangerous but do it anyways. The Daily Mail writes, Insurers estimate that as many as 450,000 accidents a year are caused by women drivers being distracted while applying cosmetics. The paper summarized the results of the study: Forty-three percent of the women said on their daily commute to work or errands they apply makeup on their face while driving automobiles. They admit that they know it is dangerous but do it anyways. The women try to apply the makeup in traffic jams or at traffic lights so they do not mess it up. Thirty-five percent of the women drivers only apply lip-gloss while they are actually driving and it is listed as the most popular cosmetic to apply while driving. The average time spent applying makeup before going to work is ten minutes. Only five percent of the women surveyed said they do not wear makeup at work.
The reason for this, as Robson sees it is that women do not plan their morning activities well. Its because most professional women do everything in a rush, she told the Daily Mail, particularly in the mornings when they are juggling a multitude of tasks.
